To me, it seems like you took a gratuitous and too generalizing shot at Park Slope. Not to mention it's cliché. I'm from Texas ("metroplex"). I live in Park Slope. Growing up Church of Christ, I also have judgmental tics, but they are slowly wearing away over the years.
Though I do have a constant and defensive thought that I am happy my daughter is in school in Baltimore; despite the distance.
